  THE KILLARNEY DIFFERENCE

32 years ago, the Hancock family first opened the Killarney Abattoir doors employing just 14 men.

Today, the Leitch family through Leitch Pastoral Group are the proud new owners. The Hancock brothers, Hector, Rohan and Tony all remain in Key management roles under the guiding passion and drive of Dudley Leitch.

Employing around 170 full time people from the local community makes Killarney Abattoir the largest employer in the area. Our dynamic team is dedicated in producing only the best quality cuts while practising high levels of hygiene and workplace health & safety.

In a nutshell, the Killarney difference is, we care.

Hector Hancock General Manager
of Killarney Abattoir.

As an integral part of the 32 year success of the Hancock families ownership of Killarney Abattoir, Hector was also crucial in the hand over of ownership to the Leitch Pastoral Group. Hector's wide product knowledge and of the abattoir business in general will continue to play a major roll in moving Killarney forward. Hector agrees, as does Dudley Leitch, that all workers should be treated like family and this ethos is the very glue that holds a good business together. Hector's key role is to now help Dudley to achieve his goals of delivering the highest quality pastoral services and products while being environmentally responsible to the land that supports our industry and our communtiy.
